Trains 7861 Lighting Set Electric 12V

LEGO 7861-1 Lighting Set Electric 12 V is a Trains / 4.5V / 12V accessory set released in 1980, containing 28 pieces. It is an expansion pack designed to add working 12V lighting to trains that did not have built-in lights, and it could also be used for illuminated building features in train layouts. The set includes four light bricks, four cables, eight prisms, and matching prism holder bricks to route light to headlights or other points on a model. It was part of the vintage 12V train system used in Europe during the late 1970s and early 1980s.  This set retired between 1990 and 1994.
